Through exclusive conversations with leading philanthropists and their family members about their motivations for giving, and the collecting of testimonies from the people and communities whose lives they have changed, we have created a unique resource paying tribute to the region’s noble culture of altruism.
Our narratives begin at the turn of the twentieth century, at a time when family was central and local businesses supported their community. We then follow our Founders as they make their way in the newly-independent Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and discover how they created new models for both business and philanthropy driving economic growth and social development.
